Emblem Vault CEO suffered a Zoom meeting phishing attack, losing more than $100,000 in digital assets
According to Cointelegraph, Jake Gallen, CEO of digital asset trading platform Emblem Vault, was hacked after a suspicious Zoom video conference, losing more than $100,000 in Bitcoin and Ethereum assets.
It is reported that the attacker posing as a YouTube blogger with more than 90,000 subscribers "Tactical Investing", using Zoom's default remote access function in the video interview, installed malicious software called "GOOPDATE" on Gallen's computer. Cyber security company SEAL said that the hacking group is called "ELUSIVE COMET", usually as Aureon Capital Ventures, has caused millions of dollars in losses in capital.
