163 million arrivals in the first quarter, up 15.3% year-on-year

On April 15th, today, the National Immigration Administration released the main data of immigration management in the first quarter of 2025. The national immigration management agency has cumulatively inspected 163 million entry-exit personnel, an increase of 15.3% year-on-year; among them, 80.272 million mainland residents, 65.724 million Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, and 17.437 million foreigners, an increase of 15.4%, 11.2%, and 33.4% year-on-year, respectively. In the first quarter, 361,000 visas for foreigners were issued.
