Nvidia plans to invest $500 billion in artificial intelligence infrastructure building in the U.S. by 2029
Nvidia plans to invest up to $500 billion in artificial intelligence infrastructure building in the United States over the next four years. The plan includes partnerships with companies such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (TSMC), Foxconn, and Quanta Computer. TSMC has already started production of Nvidia's Blackwell artificial intelligence chips at its facility in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Foxconn and Quanta expect to start operating a supercomputer manufacturing facility in Texas within 12 to 15 months.
The move is in line with a commitment by Nvidia and other tech companies to shift production to the U.S. in response to policies that support local production, with CEO Jen-Hsun Huang stressing that Made in the U.S. will help meet growing demand for artificial intelligence and strengthen supply chains.
